Freelance Engineering Support at Mondosano

After the CTO phase, Mondosano needed targeted freelance engineering support inside a familiar SaaS platform. The focus was technical depth: uploader work, bug fixing, and quality assurance for existing systems.

The work used context from the earlier CTO responsibility, but stayed deliberately focused: resolve concrete technical bottlenecks, make failure modes easier to inspect, and improve existing platform areas without reopening the whole operating model.

• Uploader optimization: Setup, bug fixing, logging implementation for better error analysis
• Quality assurance: Cypress testing for multi-checkbox functionality, code reviews, pair programming
• Test-first product development: frequently used Cypress as the working browser to specify, run, and debug existing product behavior directly while building
• Data pipeline: Matching algorithm adjustments, questionnaire export, video upload (AVI to MP4)
• Technical support: Call-center back office with Click2Dial via VoIP, conversation metadata, email integration (Mandrill), and newsletter system
• Service development: ID restrictions, browser check, update links, S3 integration

• Context-aware engineering: used existing domain and system knowledge to reach the real bottleneck faster
• Make failure modes visible: logging, reproduction, and targeted tests instead of surface-level symptom treatment
• Small safe changes: improve existing platform parts step by step without unnecessary architecture churn
• Built-in quality: used Cypress as a working and test browser, reviews, and pairing where risk or ambiguity was high
• Operational continuity: treated uploader flows, exports, email, video processing, and support features as runtime concerns that needed to stay inspectable
