Java Team-Lead & Project Manager

Overview

As a member of the strategic “Tech-Board” of USU AG and team leader of the Java team at the Bonn branch, I was responsible for leading 7 consultants. I coached the team, held team meetings, and created reports for management and the board. Additionally, I was a member of the technological strategy board of USU Business Solutions.

In a portal project, I acted as project manager. Here, I assigned and managed tasks for a team of 4 consultants. I initiated a strategy workshop with all external board members and project leaders and gave a presentation on agile software development using SCRUM to switch the project to an agile approach. Other tasks included effort estimation, proposal creation, status meetings with the customer, and monthly billing and reporting.

During the project, I utilized methods such as Responsible Leadership, Transformational Leadership, Kanban, and phase-based software development. The tools and technologies used included Java, Liferay, Wekan, Docker, Jira, Confluence, Excel, and Word.
